Looks like a street sweeper driver in Bangor, Maine managed to drive like Jeremy Clarkson in a Reliant Robin.

In the interest of protecting our Brothers and Sisters in Orange (Bangor Public Works) from any naughty comments, This Street Sweeper does not belong to the City of Bangor and no City of Bangor employees were involved in the impromptu body work.

Early this morning, this street sweeper ended up on it’s side on Stillwater Avenue in Bangor.
You ask; how did this happen? We answer; good question.
We know that the operator of said, Johnston sweeper, was suspected of consuming intoxicating liquor prior to the mishap. Charges are pending.
While the injuries were not serious, our suggestion is that in the future, if you are doing some cleanup; either avoid the liquor or use a really big broom.
We can find no statute that would preclude you from “sweeping” under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
The operator of the unit was not seriously injured in the rollover and we are glad for that.
I still think his boss is going to be upset.
I added the photo of the cops and fire fighters sweeping up the crash scene because I love things that are ironic. It should be noted that all public safety officials were fully certified in the use of brooms.

I know man it’s been a bit since I’ve been on haha
To be honest, I’ve been away from Oppo cause it seems to have been overrun by a few people. I’ll keep my opinions somewhat reserved but Oppo isn’t what it was a few years ago when I first joined. I log on and look for posts from longtime Oppos such as yourself, Bandit, Ramblin Rover, Quatto-Lover and few other people who actually do car stuff. Besides that, I don’t really care. It sucks because I used to love this place but it’s gone massively downhill in just the past year.

Yah. I just lurk most of the time. The site has changed a bit. Less true car guys and less of a community. I really don’t care about people’s opinions on here. I know who I am and know why I’m here. I’m not reckless, but I’m not going to hold back because of certain people.
